Barcelona’s Raphinha injured: Decision pending for the finale

Barcelona FC has issued an official statement concerning Brazilian winger Raphinha’s physical condition following his injury in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final.

The statement disclosed, “The examinations carried out on first-team player Raphinha revealed that he has an injury to the bicep femoris muscle of the left thigh. He is unavailable for selection and his recovery will determine his return”. This statement indicated that Raphinha suffered the injury during the first half of Barcelona’s 2-0 win against Osasuna in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final. He was then replaced by Lamine Yamal.

Raphinha’s match in Riyad marked his 20th seasonal appearance for the Blaugrana, during which he has scored four goals. Now, his availability for future matches depends on the course of his recovery, which is currently undetermined.
