Barcelona’s coach, Xavi, in a recent press conference, talked about the club’s transfer market plans ahead of their cup match against Barbastro.
Xavi went on record saying, “Given the current situation, we can’t sign players due to FFP. That’s reality.” Xavi’s comments were reported by Calcio News 24.
He continued, suggesting plans for the team’s growth remains dependent on their ability to do so given the current constraints. Xavi emphasized the need for midfield reinforcements, particularly in the light of Gavi’s injury.
However, he left it open-ended by stating it’s still uncertain whether the ongoing situation would allow them to bring in any new players.
