Atalanta eye young defender Smets, price between 8 and 10 million

Atalanta is strongly considering a move for young Belgian defender Matte Smets, as the club prepares for the January transfer window.

Several names have surfaced in recent hours, but among them, Atalanta appears set on acquiring the 2004-born central defender, Matte Smets, of W Sit Truiden, who is regarded as one of the best talents in Belgian football.

Currently, Atalanta appears to be closely monitoring Smets, with a price tag estimated to be between €8-10 million. It remains to be seen whether Atalanta will make their first offer for the highly-rated Belgian defender.
