Amoruso: Juve must hope for Inter’s downfall, the market…

Former footballer Nicola Amoruso has spoken to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport about the ongoing Serie A title race between Juventus and Inter Milan.

Amoruso discussed the current situation at Juventus, following suspensions of key players Paul Pogba and Nicolò Fagioli. Pogba is under suspension over doping allegations, while Fagioli has been banned from matches following his betting scandal.

Amoruso was quoted as saying, “I’m not going to lie, after the suspension of Paul Pogba for doping and the disqualification of Nicolò Fagioli for betting, I expect some market moves in the midfield from Juventus. And not just an average arrival, but something big, because the two lost players are capstone.”

He went on to imply that he believes Inter Milan currently have the upper hand in the title race. “The Nerazzurri have something extra, and Juve in the current conditions must hope for a slump to compete for the Scudetto,” Amoruso told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

This comes amidst Juventus’ struggle to regain their top form in the Italian league. It remains to be seen how the Serie A giants will navigate the rest of the season and if they can close the gap on Inter.
