Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Italiano is the right candidate to replace Xavi as Barcelona’s coach, according to artificial intelligence! This innovative approach of using AI was adopted by Jaroslaw Krolewski, Chairman of Wisla Krakow and Chief Executive Officer of Synerise, a company specializing in AI development.
Krolewski sought the help of AI to select a pool of potential coaches, with the AI proposing Fiorentina’s Italiano among the top candidates. Several other names appeared in the list of potential coaches for the prestigious Catalan club provided by the AI model developed by the Wisla Krakow Data Science Team. These include Imanol Alguacil of Real Sociedad, Paulo Fonseca formerly with Lille, Thiago Motta with Bologna, Roberto De Zerbi, as well as Arne Slot and Xabi Alonso.
In an interview with Marca, Krolewski revealed more about how artificial intelligence can be utilised in football. “It can be used to analyse in detail the performance of players, both in training and in a match,” said Krolewski. “This allows the coaches to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of their own team, enabling them to orchestrate better tactical strategies. Advanced artificial intelligence systems can analyse health and fitness, predicting the risk of injuries.”
