Gabigol, formerly of Inter Milan, has found a new team in Brazil following his departure from Flamengo on a free transfer.
The striker, whose real name is Gabriel Barbosa, has signed with Cruzeiro, a move that was finalised and announced today.
Gabigol left Flamengo after his contract expired, making him available to join Cruzeiro without a transfer fee.
“It’s an exciting new chapter,” Cruzeiro’s manager said in an official statement, expressing enthusiasm about the addition of Barbosa to the squad.
Supporters of Cruzeiro are eagerly awaiting Barbosa’s debut, hopeful that his impressive track record will contribute significantly to the team’s success in the coming season.
As a former Inter player, Gabigol is expected to bring both experience and skill to his new side in the Brazilian league.
