Lecce have initiated contact with Lazio regarding a potential move for Elseid Hysaj. The full-back is currently out of favour with the Biancocelesti, and Lecce’s sporting director, Pantaleo Corvino, has tabled an offer.
Lazio are actively seeking solutions for players who are not part of the current squad setup, with Hysaj being one of the prominent names on that list.
“We are exploring the possibility of bringing Hysaj to Lecce,” Corvino was quoted as saying by a local sports source. “He is a player of considerable experience and we believe he could be a valuable addition to our team.”
This development comes as Lazio aim to streamline their roster, providing opportunities for players to find suitable clubs willing to accommodate them.
Hysaj, who has previously featured prominently under former manager Maurizio Sarri, finds himself on the fringes following coaching changes and tactical adjustments at the club.
The negotiations are in the preliminary stages, and it remains to be seen how both clubs progress in reaching a mutual agreement.
As the transfer window continues, there will be keen interest from fans in Lecce and beyond to see if Hysaj’s transfer materialises.
