According to today’s edition of *Corriere dello Sport*, Juventus has expressed an interest in Sandro Tonali.
The report states, “The twists of fate, which sometimes sketch film-like narratives, have him in action tonight at San Siro. It’s the stadium that was once his home, and the fantasy of the fans, especially in Milan on the Rossoneri side, is for it to be his again.”
It continues, “However, the romance of such a move collides with the complexities that such a deal would entail. Juventus is also interested: there’s no denying Tonali’s technical appeal, but the negotiation is very costly, and confirmations are not forthcoming. These are fantasies, indeed, but dreaming costs nothing.”
The report further explains the situation of Newcastle, where Tonali currently plays. “Newcastle, who paid €64 million for him a year and a half ago, and where he found his sanctuary during a suspension, isn’t exactly cruising smoothly. Sandro, who is contracted until 2028, has started only four of the nine matches so far.”
Moreover, the struggles are evident, “The team sits in eighth place, currently out of the European spots, and manager Eddie Howe’s position is under scrutiny.”
