In an interview with *Calciomercato.com*, former Serie A striker Ciccio Caputo shared insights into his past experiences, working under Antonio Conte, and revealed some transfer market secrets.
Caputo spoke candidly about his time with Conte, saying, “Conte? That’s how he is. I’ve experienced it firsthand.” He described the intense training sessions under the renowned manager, recalling, “I saw former teammates exhausted and vomiting because they couldn’t handle the pace,” Caputo recounted to *Calciomercato.com*.
However, he also emphasised the benefits of enduring such rigorous training. “But if you manage to withstand the fatigue, results come, and you run double the distance compared to others on the pitch; you feel stronger,” he added, reflecting on the former Chelsea and Inter Milan manager’s demanding yet rewarding approach.
Discussing his transfer history, Caputo mentioned moments when he was on the verge of joining other clubs. “In the past, I was close to some clubs, but nothing ever materialised,” he revealed.
He elaborated on one particular instance, noting, “When I was at Sassuolo, there were contacts with Roma, and a few years later also with Lazio,” offering a glimpse into the near moves that didn’t quite happen.
