Transfer Insight: Balzarini reportedly suggests Juventus plans January reinforcements for that department.

In an exclusive statement to JuventusNews24, journalist Balzarini delved into the transfer market activities of Juventus and discussed the Italian national team.

When asked if Juventus would intervene in January to find a replacement for Bremer and if any names could be mentioned at this point, Balzarini expressed: “I think it’s the wisest decision; in these situations, there’s no need to rush.” This was reported on JuventusNews24.

He mentioned that Juventus is not lacking in depth in that department, though there is a slight deficiency in quality, which is a separate issue.

“The team has the option to field Danilo, who has consistently performed well even as a central defender,” Balzarini noted.

Thiago Motta also sees Savona as a suitable option for that position, in addition to Gatti, Kalulu, and Cabal.

Therefore, according to Balzarini, the club’s decision to assess these players’ performances and reliability over time before making any market moves seems prudent.

Discussing specific names at this stage appears premature to Balzarini, although he mentioned Beukema of Bologna, who Thiago Motta is familiar with. “The names are certainly there. It’s clear that Juventus isn’t waiting until January to decide who to sign,” he added.

Furthermore, Balzarini commented on national team choices, particularly those made by Spalletti, which have led to the exclusion of Juventus players Gatti and Locatelli.

“These are Spalletti’s choices,” he stated. “In my opinion, both would have deserved a place in the national team, but it’s better for Thiago Motta that they remain at Continassa to train with the team, like Vlahovic,” he told JuventusNews24.

Balzarini revealed his personal opinion that he would have selected both players, highlighting Gatti’s substantial growth, particularly in mentality, since receiving the captain’s armband from Thiago Motta.

Locatelli’s performances have also been noteworthy, often ranking among the best on the field. “He has found serenity, possibly because he’s no longer tasked with roles that don’t suit him,” Balzarini remarked.

“Locatelli is effectively Juventus’s new acquisition alongside Fagioli, who returned after suspension,” Balzarini added.

On the topic of confidence, Balzarini expressed belief in Spalletti’s ability to move past criticisms received after the European Championship. “The last two matches were well-played, regardless of the outcomes,” he stated.

As expected, more assessments are bound to follow, and it remains to be seen how the national team will perform in its forthcoming commitments.
