Inter Milan will need to be vigilant in fending off interest that could emerge this summer for one of Simone Inzaghi’s key players: Federico Dimarco.
The Nerazzurri wing-back continues to develop season after season, which has consequently drawn the attention of foreign clubs.
According to Calciomercato.com, Bayern Munich has included Dimarco on their wishlist in case Alphonso Davies departs the German club.
Also on Bayern’s list is Theo Hernandez of AC Milan.
Inter may have a slight advantage and an extra glimmer of hope compared to their cross-city rivals.
This edge comes from the contract renewal Dimarco signed just ten months ago, which could deter potential suitors.
In contrast, the contractual situation of the French full-back Hernandez is different; he last renewed his contract in February 2022 and will now have to renegotiate a new deal with significantly higher figures.
“Dimarco’s recent contract extension puts us in a stronger position,” a source close to Inter commented to Calciomercato.com.
However, with Bayern’s strong interest, this summer could prove testing for Inter as they look to retain their crucial talents.
