Weston McKennie is expected to bid farewell to Juventus as the American midfielder looks set to make a return to the Premier League.
Juventus is reportedly eager to find a new club for McKennie, who has become surplus to requirements at the Turin-based club.
“Weston is no longer in our plans, and we believe it’s in the best interest of both parties for him to move on,” a Juventus spokesperson told *La Gazzetta dello Sport*.
McKennie, who previously played in the Premier League on loan at Leeds United, has not managed to secure a permanent place in Juventus’ starting lineup.
The midfielder’s exclusion from the technical project has led to increased speculations about his next destination.
Several Premier League clubs are purportedly monitoring McKennie’s situation closely with the January transfer window approaching.
“Interest from top-flight English clubs is strong, and discussions are ongoing,” reported *The Athletic*.
Despite his challenges in Italy, McKennie’s ability to perform at a high level remains recognised by many, making him an attractive option for clubs seeking midfield reinforcements.
