Cesare Casadei has caught the eye of Cagliari as sporting director Nereo Bonato tests the waters with Chelsea for the midfielder.
Today’s edition of the newspaper Tuttosport has reported Cagliari’s interest in Casadei, a product of Inter Milan’s thriving youth academy.
Cagliari is keen to finalise a deal for Gianluca Gaetano, but through sporting director Nereo Bonato, they might also make an attempt for Casadei.
“We’re exploring all options to strengthen our midfield,” Bonato was quoted as saying by Tuttosport.
“We believe Casadei could be a valuable addition,” Bonato added, highlighting the club’s strategy to bolster their squad.
It’s yet to be seen if Chelsea will entertain such efforts, but Cagliari’s ambition remains undeterred.
