It is now official: Julian Alvarez is a new player for Atletico Madrid.
The Spanish club made the announcement following successful negotiations with Manchester City.
Atletico Madrid and Manchester City have reached an agreement for the transfer of Julian Alvarez, who will sign for the club.
“The negotiations were intense, but we are delighted to bring Julian to Madrid,” a spokesperson for Atletico Madrid stated, according to the club’s official website.
Manchester City also confirmed the transfer in a brief statement, acknowledging the forward’s contributions and wishing him well in his new endeavours.
“Julian has been an exceptional part of our squad, and we believe he will continue to excel at Atletico Madrid,” a City representative was quoted as saying by the club’s media team.
