Tense negotiations between Toulouse and Bologna over Logan Costa are heating up. The French club is not budging from its initial asking price for the defender.
For the Rossoblù, Costa is the top priority. However, they are considering a plan B as a backup.
The move for Costa is driven by Bologna’s sporting director, Giovanni Sartori. Sartori has identified the defender as the ideal replacement for Calafiori, who recently signed with Arsenal.
Despite Bologna’s keen interest, Toulouse remains firm on their valuation of Costa. A source close to the negotiations said, “Toulouse is adamant about not lowering the price.”
Sartori’s search for alternatives indicates that Bologna is preparing for all eventualities. “We have other targets in mind if the deal for Logan Costa falls through,” said a spokesperson for Bologna.
The ongoing standoff adds an element of suspense to the transfer window. Both clubs appear unwilling to concede ground as they weigh their options.
With the clock ticking, Bologna will need to decide whether to meet Toulouse’s demands or shift focus entirely to their alternative options.
