AC Milan have made a decision regarding Alexis Saelemaekers following Bologna’s failure to exercise their purchase option.
Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport has shed light on Saelemaekers’ status in the new Milan under manager Paulo Fonseca.
The Belgian winger returned to the Rossoneri after an impressive loan spell at Bologna.
Despite his notable performances, Bologna did not take up their option to make the move permanent.
Sources within the club have indicated that Saelemaekers is set to remain at AC Milan for the upcoming season.
“He’s a talented player who can bring a lot to our squad,” a Milan insider told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Fonseca is reportedly keen to integrate the 24-year-old into his tactical plans for the Serie A campaign.
Expectations are high as Saelemaekers joins a reshuffled Milan side aiming to improve their domestic and European form.
