Fiorentina reportedly nearing agreement with Al Arabi for Ikoné, contract allegedly prepared for striker

Fiorentina appear to be edging closer to the sale of Jonathan Ikoné to Saudi Arabia.

The talented winger has struggled to live up to expectations during his three-year stint in Florence, leading to increasing speculation over his future with La Viola.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, Al Arabi have already prepared their first offer for the Frenchman.

“Ikoné has been a source of disappointment for Fiorentina fans and management,” a source close to the club revealed to Tuttomercatoweb.com.

“It’s no surprise that they are now seriously considering letting him go,” the source added.

Al Arabi are rumoured to be preparing a lucrative contract to lure Ikoné to the Middle East, a move which could prove financially attractive for both the player and Fiorentina.

Negotiations are said to be progressing well, and an official announcement may not be too far away.

Fiorentina have yet to publicly comment on the potential transfer, but the club’s current stance suggests that Ikoné’s departure might be imminent.
