According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan remains highly active in their pursuit of Joshua Zirkzee, the Bologna striker who is the primary target for their offensive line in the upcoming season.
The negotiations have presently stalled due to issues surrounding commission fees.
A source close to the negotiations stated, “We have made our stance clear to Zirkzee and his representatives.”
The source emphasised that both parties are currently firm on their positions regarding the financial elements of the deal.
Commenting on the situation, a Milan spokesperson mentioned, “We are eager to bring Zirkzee to the club, but we need to resolve the commission matter first.”
It appears that the Rossoneri are determined to secure Zirkzee’s services, yet the resolution of the commission issue remains a significant hurdle.
Meanwhile, Bologna have not publicly commented on the ongoing negotiations.
The two clubs will need to find common ground quickly if the transfer is to materialise before the window closes.
