Former Roma and Lazio managers José Mourinho and Maurizio Sarri are set for new adventures, according to reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Italian publication recently dedicated a full page to coaches on the lookout for their next assignment, with Mourinho and Sarri amongst the high-profile names discussed.
Nicknamed ‘The Special One,’ Mourinho can hope for a call from Bayern Munich, who will be bidding farewell to their current coach Tuchel in June. He is also linked with a return to Manchester United, according to some speculations.
Reading into Sarri’s situation, the dust seems too fresh on his goodbye to Lazio for a prompt pursuit of a new endeavour. However, nothing is out of the question. Sports betting agencies have been busy linking him with various clubs. Some speculations connect him to Fiorentina for the post presently occupied by Italiano. Others suggest a comeback to Napoli. However, the prospect of Barcelona replacing outgoing Xavi with Sarri appears more distant.
