Manchester City has sought a last-minute intervention in the transfer deal between Kylian Mbappé and Real Madrid, however, the French player seems to have set his sights on the Spanish club.
According to Cadena Ser, The Cityzens, managed by Pep Guardiola, made a late attempt to initiate contact with the player’s representatives just prior to the announcement of his departure from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
However, their efforts appear to have been in vain. Reports emerging from Spain are confident that the French footballer has already inked his deal with the Merengues. The sports daily Marca claims that a five-year contract has been offered, with an annual salary ranging between 15 and 20 million euros. Should this deal go through, Mbappé would become the highest-paid player in the squad, surpassing the likes of Kroos, Modric and Alaba.
