Lazio player Mattia Zaccagni has emerged as the potential replacement for Juventus striker Federico Chiesa, should he move on.
Lazio winger Zaccagni has been identified as an ideal successor to Chiesa in the event of a transfer, reports in Italian media suggest.
According to leading Italian sports daily ‘Tuttosport’, Zaccagni has yet to renew his contract with the Roman club. In addition, there appears to be a rift between the player and his agent which has not yet been resolved.
This has opened an opportunity for Juventus Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli to potentially swoop in and deliver a solid addition to Massimiliano Allegri’s squad. However, it appears that they may face competition for the player’s signature as it is reported that Zaccagni is also drawing interest from Serie A side Fiorentina.
