Renewal talks between Zaccagni and Lazio at a standstill amidst contract due to conclude in 2025
According to Italian publication ‘Il Messaggero’, negotiations regarding the renewal of Zaccagni’s contract with Lazio, set to end in 2025, have hit a stalemate.
In a bid to extend his contract to 2027, Zaccagni has reportedly asked for a wage that, inclusive of bonuses, exceeds €3 million. However, club president Lotito is unwilling to exceed this limit, even with bonuses included.
Interestingly, Fiorentina made a concrete attempt in January to lure the winger away, tabling an offer of €25 million plus bonuses. However, this bid was declined. Nonetheless, without a renewal by the summer, the outcome could be different.
