Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have shown earnest interest in acquiring Rafael Leao from AC Milan, according to a report from Sport Mediaset. The Portuguese player is considered a potential successor to Kylian Mbappe should the French athlete bid adieu to PSG in the summer, with Real Madrid tipped as the probable, but not exclusive, destination. Premier League’s top clubs have also shown keen interest in Mbappe.
However, AC Milan remains firm in its stance. As quoted by Sport Mediaset, the club’s spokesperson Furlani was unequivocal: “Leao, who born in 1999, indeed hopes to remain with AC Milan, can be allowed to leave only if the £175 million release clause is met.” Such a lofty sum could potentially deter even the financial juggernaut that is PSG.
