Footballing prodigy Kevin Zefi has been signed by AS Roma, after stints with the youth teams of Inter Milan. The player, who started his footballing journey with Shamrock Rovers, is set to rise to the challenge under the leadership of José Mourinho, according to Corriere Dello Sport.
Zefi was born in Dublin on February 11, 2005, and is considered one of the rising talents of European football. With creativity, physique, and quality, he exemplifies the characteristics of a secondary striker, skilled both in finishing in the last 20 yards and in attacking openings when the action demands. Starting his football journey with Shamrock Rovers, a team once faced by Juventus in the Europa League qualifiers, Zefi moved to Inter Milan in 2021. His performance has witnessed consistent growth, especially in scoring.
In his first year with the Under 17 team, he scored six goals, which increased to sixteen in his second year with the Under 18 team. As a part of the Nerazzurri’s Under 18 team this season, Zefi has already scored three goals in five matches. He also made six appearances in the 2022-23 Primavera Championship.
Now, under Mourinho’s AS Roma, Zefi will be allowed to train with the first team immediately due to the offensive emergency. This permanent transfer opens up a future for Zefi that is still to be written – possibly alongside Lukaku.
