Italian football team, Salernitana, led by manager Pippo Inzaghi, is reportedly aiming to bolster their squad as they strive for survival in Serie A. Two of Inzaghi’s former players have surfaced as potential additions to the squad.
A report from Italy suggests that Inzaghi is keen to bring in right-back Niccolò Pierozzi, currently under contract with Florentine side, Fiorentina, as well as midfielder Zan Majer, who is currently plying his trade in Cremona.
Both players worked with Inzaghi last season at Reggio Calabria, and the Italian manager believes they could be significant assets for Salernitana’s push for survival.
This news comes as Salernitana’s current form sees them lingering around the relegation zone in Serie A solely aiming at survival. However, with these possible additions, Inzaghi seems hopeful of their chances of remaining in Italy’s top tier for another season.
As of yet, there has been no official statement from the players or their respective clubs, but if Inzaghi’s wish is granted, we could see the Salernitana squad strengthened with the addition of these promising talents in the near future.
All football enthusiasts and Salernitana fans will be keenly watching the developments in the next few days.
