Fiorentina head coach, Vincenzo Italiano, has been named Philadelphia Coach Of The Month for December. The award will be presented before the Fiorentina versus Udinese match, scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the “Artemio Franchi” Stadium in Florence.
The award was distributed by a judging panel made up of Directors of sports news outlets. Judges evaluated individual coaches based on technical and sporting criteria, the quality of play demonstrated by their teams, and how they presented themselves — their fair play —during matches.
Factors from the 14th to the 18th rounds of the 2023/2024 Serie A TIM season were considered for the final score.
During the announcement of the award, Lega Serie A’s CEO Luigi De Siervo said, “In December, Vincenzo Italiano’s Fiorentina stood out for its quality of play, concrete performance, and defensive organization, allowing only one goal in five matches.” De Siervo added, “In his second title of coach of the month, Italiano is now a guarantee of spectacular football with the added merit of being able to make the most of the entire squad at his disposal. Fiorentina, in full race for a Champions League spot, is the result of the excellent work of its coach and the Club, which has assembled a competitive team with a winning mentality.”
