Transfer talks between Napoli and Udinese for Lazar Samardzic have yet to be completely finalised. In the meantime, Brighton, a Premier League club, is making a last-minute attempt to intercept the deal.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Brighton’s Seagulls reportedly have a £20m-plus-£5m in add-ons offer on the table that would meet the Bianconeri’s demands. The price tag for the German player, however, is not seen as a problem for the Naples-based club.
The sticking point appears to be reaching an agreement with Samardzic’s father. Instead of moving to the English shores, Samardzic is reported to favour the Italian side. Thus, it seems that the final decision on the deal will likely be influenced by the player’s father.
