Fabio Ravezzani, director of Telelombardia, has fanned the flames of the ongoing VAR controversy by highlighting two incidents involving penalties. The first incident relates to Yilidz in Salerno, and the second occurred at a Verona match at San Siro.
Ravezzani shared his thoughts on a social media post. He argued that someone should explain the contrast between the penalty identified by VAR against Inter and the one not signaled for Yilidz. In his opinion, there is no difference.
He went on to suggest that there is an alarming disparity in how the refereeing class evaluates the VAR system, which he views as unacceptable.
“Someone should explain the difference between the penalty signaled by VAR against Inter and the one not signaled for Yilidz. I’ll try: none. We are faced with glaring disparities in the assessment of the refereeing class when it comes to VAR, which is no longer tolerable,” he wrote on Twitter.
