Filippo Inzaghi, Salernitana’s head coach, has spoken out on the club’s official media channels, ahead of their match with Juventus.
In a pre-match commentary, Inzaghi stated his optimism about the game, drawing strength from their recent form, “We’ve taken four points from the last two league matches which should encourage and excite us for tomorrow’s game.” He acknowledged Juventus’s potential but hoped they would not have one of their best days. He confirmed that the home match would be played with their supporters, adding conviction and confidence to the players.
He continued his assessment, “We’ve shown against Lazio and Milan that we can challenge important opponents. I am confident our fans will greatly support us in attempting this undertaking.”
In regard to the team’s formation for the anticipated game, he said that he would make his final decisions the following morning to identify the best players for the game and consequently design the game system.
Inzaghi expressed optimism about overturning predictions, “This is one of those games that prepares itself, driven by our audience we can overturn the predictions. We want to continue the positive momentum in the championship that we began with the match in Bergamo, and to do so, we will need to play a hard and prolific game.”
He confirmed the return of key players Fazio and Candreva and hinted at opportunities for less-featured players to prove their worth. He added, “Whoever plays will do so in the role that is most suitable for them, I expect important responses. This is a team that must excel in difficulties, Salernitana must be a team ready for battle.”
