Ivan Juric, head coach of Torino, held a press conference on the eve of their match against Napoli.
Juric was upbeat about his team’s preparation for the upcoming game. “We are doing well and working with great intensity,” he said, expressing hope that their hard work would soon be translated into positive results and build both confidence and enthusiasm among the team.
Speaking about their opponents, Napoli, Juric mentioned the team’s need for vigilance. “We need to be careful,” he warned, stating that Napoli are capable of scoring at any time. He acknowledged that a dash of luck is needed but expressed the strong desire to replicate their previous performance against Fiorentina but to improve the quality of play in the final stages of the game. Reflecting on the uniqueness of this football season, he emphasised the high level of competition. “The leagues are much tighter and the competition is close”, he noted.
Turning to transfer market speculation, Juric downplayed any movement. He stated “nothing is moving” and that unless any players leave, no new developments are expected to take place. When questioned about alleged interest in Doig, Juric was dismissive, saying that there had been no discussions.
In his closing remarks, he shared his satisfaction with the direction the team was heading, hinting that they are missing some points to have a stronger standing when presenting to their management.
