The future of Napoli’s Mario Rui was the centre of discussion as his agent, Mario Giuffredi, spoke to Radio CRC.
Giuffredi argued that the value of players like Rui to the game is often overlooked. He said, “People don’t understand that football should be played by those who know how to play it, and Mario Rui is one of those players. He has shown this in the last few years at high levels.”
The agent further criticised the quick judgement and lack of balance in Naples, indicating that the city’s perception of players changes from one game to another.
Regarding the potential transfer of Di Lorenzo, another player from Naples, Giuffredi expressed his hope that another proficient player would arrive should the former leave. He emphasised that he has always been supportive of his players, adding that shielding, not exposing, them during challenging times is the approach he prefers.
However, Giuffredi hinted at possible changes in the upcoming summer transfer window. Hinting at potential moves, he said, “I’m a little cunning and in the summer I might make different choices,” referring to his role within Napoli’s football scene.
