Italian club Lecce has officially extended the contracts of Federico Baschirotto and Valentin Gendrey, as confirmed in a recent statement.
Defender Federico Baschirotto’s contract, initially due to expire on 30 June 2025, has been extended until the end of the 2025/26 season. He also has an option to extend it for further two years, as per the club’s statement: “U.S. Lecce announces that it has extended the contractual relationship with defender Federico Baschirotto, due to expire on 30 June 2025, until the end of the 2025/26 sports season, with an option for the subsequent two years.”
Meanwhile, the contract of full-back Valentin Gendrey, set to expire on 30 June 2024, has also been extended until the end of the 2025/26 sporting season, with an option for another year. The club’s official statement stated about Gendrey, “U.S. Lecce announces that it has extended the contractual relationship with full-back Valentin Gendrey, due to expire on 30 June 2024, until the end of the 2025/26 sports season, with the option for the following year.”
This double contract renewal shows the confidence Lecce has in both the players and the club’s further plans.
