Inter Milan is reportedly setting their sights on securing the services of Piotr Zielinski next summer as contract talks with his current club, Napoli, appear to be stalling. The Polish midfielder’s contract with Napoli is up for renewal in 2024 and it seems increasingly likely that he might not renew.
The team led by President De Laurentiis has revealed that the discussions about Zielinski’s future have been paused. As a result, Inter Milan is said to be ready to actualise their interest in Zielinski with an offer of a three-year deal, worth 4.5 million Euros per season.
Inter’s move to acquire Zielinski is seen as a strategic addition to complement midfielders like Mkhitaryan. The initial plan was to bring in a promising talent, Samardzic. However, a dramatic change of plan made them opt for Klaassen to complete the squad. This news was reported by Italian publication, Tuttosport.
The acquisition of Zieliński would give Inter Milan manager Inzaghi a formidable midfield setup that could have a significant impact on the Nerazzurri’s performance in the forthcoming season.
