Renan Lodi Reaches Agreement with Al Hilal for a Move to Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia continues to be a key player in the football transfer market, with Renan Lodi from Marseille now reported as their latest target. This is despite the dissatisfaction of numerous summer arrivals who now appear ready to leave; however, the flow of players towards Saudi Arabia remains consistently high.

The news, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, is that the Marseille player has an agreement with Al-Hilal. The Saudi club will initially secure him on a loan agreement, with an obligation to buy later. Romano noted, “The French club will receive 20 million euros for the deal.”

This deal for Lodi indeed reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing presence and influence in the international football transfers. Despite some players expressing their unhappiness, clearly, the allure and opportunities of playing football there continue to attract top talents. The final details of the transfer are yet to be confirmed but for the moment, Lodi to Al-Hilal looks likely.
