Fenerbahce coach speaks on Bonucci: A significant signing

Fenerbahce manager Ismail Kartal has commented on the recent acquisition of former Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci.

Kartal stated that there were several alternatives during the winter transfer window, according to an interview he gave recently.

“I spoke to my president and the board about the possibility of bringing Bonucci on board, among other options. “I thank them, they made a significant effort to bring him to Istanbul”, Kartal is quoted as saying.

The coach further stated that all that’s left now is for Bonucci to pass his medical tests and sign the contract, after which they will discuss everything else.

This news signifies a significant move for Bonucci, taking his talents to Turkey from one of Italy’s top-most clubs, Juventus. It also highlights Fenerbahce’s commitment to bolstering their defence with such a high-profile signing.
