Henry proposes: Var needs an overhead camera, let me explain

Former French football star Thierry Henry has recently spoken to Prime Video about the use of VAR in the Premier League.

Henry suggested improvements in terms of the angle of view provided by VAR to aid referees. “If you want to help the referees find the right angle, to know if the ball is out, you should be above the ball. This is the only way to know if the ball is out or not”, Henry said on Prime Video.

He continued to express his surprise at the absence of high-angle cameras, questioning the quality of the current system. Henry stated, “It’s 2023, almost 2024 and we still don’t have a high-angle camera, too often you don’t know if the ball is out or not.”
