Former Inter Milan and Juventus striker Christian Vieri has spoken about the upcoming Derby d’Italia between the two Italian giants in an interview with Radio TV Serie A.
Vieri said: “The whole world will watch this game, which features the first and second-placed teams. It’s great that everyone will be watching.” Regarding the teams’ performance, he believes Inter are in great form and playing good football, while Juventus is not playing as well but is managing to keep a solid defence.
He added that Juventus has some very strong attackers, with Moise Kean improving under manager Massimiliano Allegri, despite not scoring recently. Vieri praised Juventus’ physical strength in defence, but acknowledged the team does not play the most attractive football, focusing more on results.
Discussing Inter, Vieri described them as devastating when playing, with an impressive midfield and attack. He praised coach Simone Inzaghi’s ability to substitute half of the team without affecting their performance, citing players like Stefan de Vrij, Alexis Sanchez, Marko Arnautovic, Davide Frattesi, Kristjan Asllani, and Juan Cuadrado as key contributors.
