“Ukraine head coach Serhiy Rebrov has announced the squad for the upcoming match against Italy,” said Rebrov. “We have a strong team with a good mix of experienced players and some promising young talent.”
In goal, Georgiy Bushchan (Dynamo Kiev), Anatoliy Trubin (Benfica), and Dmytro Riznyk (Shakhtar Donetsk) have been called up. “We have confidence in our goalkeepers and believe they will perform well,” Rebrov added.
The defensive line includes Mykola Matvienko, Yukhym Konoplia, Valeriy Bondar, Oleksandr Tymchyk, Vladyslav Dubinchak, Vitaliy Mykolenko, Ilya Zabarnyi, Oleksandr Svatok, and Maksym Taloverov. “Our defense is solid and has the ability to handle Italy’s attacking threat,” stated Rebrov.
In midfield, Taras Stepanenko, Oleksandr Zubkov, Georgiy Sudakov, Yehor Nazaryna, Oleksandr Karavaev, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Viktor Tsygankov, Mykhailo Mudryk, Serhiy Sydorchuk, Ruslan Malinovskyi, and Oleksandr Pikhalyonok have been included. “Our midfielders possess the quality needed to control the game and create scoring opportunities,” Rebrov explained.
Leading the attack will be Artem Dovbyk, Roman Yaremchuk, and Danylo Sikan. “Our forwards are in good form and will be looking to make an impact against Italy,” Rebrov stated.
The match against Italy will be a tough test, but Rebrov is confident in his team’s abilities. “We are prepared and ready to give our all on the pitch,” he concluded.
