Udinese, Cioffi: Samardzic deserves to play, on market issues

Ahead of their clash with Lazio, Udinese coach Gabriele Cioffi has addressed the forthcoming match in a press conference.

Cioffi emphasised the significance of Giannetti’s arrival to the team. “Giannetti joining us is important. He will provide a great alternative to Kabasele and Masina,” said the Udinese coach. He lauded Giannetti’s broad playing experience, saying it would offer a significant boost to the team.

Cioffi made indirect reference to Samardzic’s impressive training efforts as he hinted at the potential for him to be selected for the match. However, Cioffi didn’t confirm whether Samardzic would start the game.

In addition, Cioffi expressed relief that Davis has recovered from an injury and was available for selection, referring to his return as akin to a “January transfer” acquisition for the team.

While sharing updates on injured players, Cioffi said that Brenner would still need more time to recover. He also referred to Zemura’s “delicate” injury, indicating that the player is likely to rejoin the squad next week.
