Transfer negotiation for Guirassy slows down at AC Milan

AC Milan is reportedly considering the possibility of signing Guirassy. The name has emerged amongst others in connection with the Rossoneri’s transfer market. The club is weighing up the option of paying the release clause for the player.

However, the deal could hit a snag due to the Africa Cup of Nations. According to Calciomercato.com, Guirassy’s involvement in the tournament presents a significant unknown factor which could delay proceedings. The player, who was capped for Guinea after a stint with the French national youth teams at Under 16, 19 and 20 levels, will be playing in Group C alongside Senegal, Cameroon and Gambia. This could potentially see him absent for two weeks to a month in January.
