Javier Tebas, the President of La Liga, has made comments regarding Barcelona’s financial situation and the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid.
Speaking to AS, Tebas stated that Barcelona’s transfer activities will be conditional. “It will depend on some things that have to be resolved first,” he said, without specifying the exact issues in question.
Tebas elaborated on the club’s financial constraints. “Barcelona needs to make significant adjustments. They have been exceeding their salary cap, and this situation needs to be corrected for future transfers,” he added.
The La Liga president also touched upon the possibility of Kylian Mbappé joining Real Madrid. “Mbappé coming to Real Madrid would be a significant achievement for Spanish football,” Tebas mentioned, highlighting the potential economic benefits and increased viewership that such a signing could bring.
“However, Real Madrid must also consider the financial fair play regulations. Balancing the books is crucial for maintaining La Liga’s competitiveness,” he warned.
Tebas concluded by expressing optimism about the Spanish league’s future. “Despite these challenges, I believe La Liga remains one of the most exciting and competitive leagues globally,” he said, adding that proper financial management would be key to sustaining this status.
