The Serie A Sports Judge has announced disciplinary measures following the 15th game day of Italy’s premium football league.
Federico Julian Fazio of Salernitana has been handed a one-match suspension and fined €3,000. He reportedly “disrespectfully criticised the match officials, approaching the fourth official in an agitated manner”.
Davide Calabria of AC Milan, Ondrej Duda of Hellas Verona, Romelu Lukaku Bolingoli of Roma, Ruan Tressoldi Neto of Sassuolo, and Nicola Zalewski of Roma have all been given a one-match ban. The bans came as a result of “two warnings for improper behaviour towards an opponent”. In Lukaku’s case, it was due to him committing a serious foul during the match.
However, the suspensions were not limited to only players who were red-carded. Joao Diogo Fonseca Ferreira of Udinese and Joan Gonzalez Canellas of Lecce also face a single match suspension. They were penalised due to their “improper behaviour towards an opponent” and were already under warning – this being their fifth sanction.
All the information mentioned above has been communicated officially by the Serie A Sports Judge.
