Maurizio Sarri, the Lazio head coach, has spoken to DAZN ahead of the match against Hellas Verona.
In his interview, Sarri commented on Lazio’s recent performances, as well as their strategies moving forward. He admitted that the team has made a lot of errors in the current season but remains hopeful because of recent strides forward. The source quoted him as saying: “In a week, we have won three matches. We have reached the last 16 of the Champions League and the quarter-finals of the Cup.”
He also acknowledged Lazio’s struggle with scoring goals saying, “We are scoring little… There is a need for everyone in the goal realization.”
On the topic of Matías Vecino’s reinstatement, Sarri stated, “The clarification is implicit in the reinstatement. The club is becoming strict about these situations. If there was no clarification, there would have been no Vecino.” The reinstatement of Vecino has indicated the club’s resolve to enforce stringent actions for any similar future situations.
Sarri’s interview with DAZN ended with him expressing his aspiration to continue moving upward in the league.
