In light of recent speculation in the London press regarding Fernandez’s position at Chelsea, his agent has sought to clarify the situation, saying, “I don’t understand why these rumours have surfaced. Both Enzo and I have a clear understanding of this project, which was outlined to me on the day of the World Cup final.”

It seems the club’s executive board has a long-term strategy, with the agent revealing, “They were very clear that this was a project that required time, especially from a sporting point of view as they would be changing the team, taking on the best young players, one of them being Enzo.
