Nagelsmann’s squad selection for Germania: the decision on Thiaw

Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann has announced the squad for the upcoming national team friendly matches, with Malick Thiaw from Milan being the only player from Serie A to be included.

The squad includes Baumann, Blaswich, Ter Stegen, and Trapp as goalkeepers, with defenders Gosens, Henrichs, Hummels, Rudiger, Sule, Tah, and Thiaw making the cut. In midfield, there are Andrich, Brandt, Fuhrich, Goretzka, Gross, Gundogan, Havertz, Hofmann, Kimmich, Nmecha, Sané, and Wirtz, while Ducksch, Fullkrug, Gnabry, and Muller have been selected as attackers.

Speaking about his choices, Nagelsmann expressed his confidence in the squad, saying, “I believe that we have a strong and balanced team capable of competing at the highest level.” The manager also added, “Malick Thiaw has shown great promise at Milan and deserves a chance to prove himself at the international level.”
