Milan’s Leao: Now we are in the Europa League and we aim to win it

AC Milan striker Rafael Leao gave his views after his side’s victory against Newcastle, as reported by Sky Sport.

According to Leao, “We had to do our job and win. We were waiting for Dortmund’s victory but they drew, now we are in the Europa League, a competition that Milan has not yet won and we want to win.”

The match against Newcastle was significant as “It was our goal, the coach had told us that Newcastle had never lost. We are happy, we defeated a strong team, with fans who pushed throughout the game. We also want to thank our fans who helped us win. There are some regrets but we are happy to continue in Europe. In the second half, we showed the team that we are, not from a technical point of view but from that of hunger and the desire to win. Even on the first goal, we believed until the end for this result”.
