Mazzarri: Napoli fields the best possible 11

Walter Mazzarri, head coach of Napoli, delivered a definitive pre-match statement, as the Italian champions prepared to pitch against Juventus. In an interview with sports streaming service, DAZN, Mazzarri aired his views ahead of the much-anticipated match.

On the game, Mazzarri said, “I have worked on the mistakes made, we need to try to avoid them and to give fewer opportunities to the opponent, while continuing to play our game, beautiful football.”

In reference to his choice of starting lineup, the Napoli coach suggested his decisions had been strategic. “Clearly, I have chosen this formation because I think they are the most suitable. Of course, we will see how the match goes – there are four changes to change something, and the last one to prevent ending up with ten, we assess in progress,” he commented.
