Marcello Lippi, the former Italian national team coach, has come out in support of Luciano Spalletti following his appointment as the new coach of the national team.
Lippi expressed his approval of the decision in an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss, stating that Spalletti is the ideal replacement for the resigned Mancini.
Lippi believes that Spalletti, both as a person and as a successful coach, is the best choice for the Italian Football Federation (Figc) to achieve the desired results.
Lippi said, “The choice of Spalletti was the best one for post-Mancini. He is a winner, both as a person and as a coach, and he has what it takes to help the Figc achieve its goals.”
