Lecce, D’Aversa: “The real Milan was seen on Tuesday, we’re ready”

Roberto D’Aversa, head coach of Lecce, has spoken ahead of the Serie A match against Milan. Speaking at a press conference, D’Aversa discussed the upcoming game and his team’s readiness to face a strong opponent.

In his own words, D’Aversa said “Poteva essere fuorviante ragionare sul Milan visto contro l’Udinese. È un club abituato a vincere. Non dobbiamo avere dubbi: il Milan è la squadra vista in Champions.”

He went on to add “Noi siamo pronti a fare la prestazione. Affrontiamo una grandissima squadra allenata da un grandissimo allenatore.”

D’Aversa also emphasized the importance of the home environment, saying “Il fattore ambientale conta molto, l’ambiente nella settimana ha spinto tanto il Milan portandolo a fare una prestazione ottima. Contro l’Udinese si respirava un clima diverso. Noi avremo lo stadio sold-out e troveranno un ambiente che spingerà a nostro favore.”

According to D’Aversa, “Noi dobbiamo cercare una prestazione al 120%. Dobbiamo andare oltre le nostre possibilità, poi quello che farà il Milan lo vedremo domani.”

Reflecting on the team’s recent performance, D’Aversa said “Prima della gara di Roma in pochi credevano il Lecce potesse fare una prestazione del genere.”
