Juve’s Cherki, January balance: Giuntoli gives it a try

Juventus F.C., besides its performance and wins on the field, is also keeping an eye on the transfer market. There is speculation that Rayan Cherki, the young Lyon star, may be on the interest list of Fabio Giuntoli, the club’s Director of Football.

Juventus scouts have been seen on multiple instances closely observing the performance of Cherki, who is also a key part of France’s Under-21 team, according to Italian sports daily, Tuttosport. Cherki had already been under the radar of Juventus’s former head scout, Matteo Tognozzi.

This information indicates that Cherki is not a new face to both Giuntoli and Juventus’s scout Marco Manna. The attacking midfielder’s contract with Lyon expires in 2025, and Juventus may potentially seal this transfer deal at an expected figure of around 20-25 million euros.
